IT Technical Field Consultant is required to join a growing and highly progressive Managed Service Provider (MSP) from their head office based on the outskirts of Southampton.

The role of an IT Technical Field Consultant involves working on my clients customer sites, ensuring their IT systems are working and functioning correctly. You will also ensure that their entire IT infrastructure is at a specific 'best practice' level to make sure that IT security and stability is at the correct level and if not will liaise with the relevant account manager to make appropriate recommendations to the client. Whilst on client site you will be expected to proactively solve any IT issues that may be brought to your attention along with getting heavily involved in any project work that may be required.

Once the correct candidate is fully trained in the role then it is envisaged that you would be spending 4 days working in the field, on customer site and 1 day in the head office. You will be working on both new and existing client sites based across the south. You will have a company branded car to travel to customer sites.

The correct candidate for the IT Technical Field Consultant will be working an IT technical role at the moment and preferably have some experience within a customer facing role. From a technical perspective you will have strong knowledge and commercial experience within Windows infrastructure (up to Windows 10 desktop, Sever 2012 / 2016, Exchange, Office 365) and networking.

As the role will be field based then your communication skills, both written and verbal, must be very strong. Furthermore you will feel comfortable interacting with end users on a daily basis whilst also being able to speak 'non-technically' about highly technical issues to end users, manager, directors etc..

You must have a full valid UK driving license
