SC Application Support Technician - 12 Month Contract - Croydon

My client, a large IT outsourcing organisation are currently working with a Public Sector organisation and are looking for an Application Support Technician for a 12 month assignment based on site in Croydon, the client can offer up to £330 per day for the role and are looking to get someone on site for mid-October.

The role is working in a global business and technology leader, innovating in research and development to shape the future of society at large. Working in a company always innovating and thinking ahead.

Role Information:

* Monitor the service, triage and resolve issues as they occur during the Early Life Support periods for incoming services (across the application, infrastructure, hosting platform and network)

* Undertake out of hours deployments to the production environment

* Deliver new enhancements for the service (across technical, operational and process capabilities) Support cloud based tooling for the Pre-Production and Production environments

* Support OAT for new Incoming Services Write Support procedures for the BAU team

* Complete Knowledge Transfer and Training activities with the BAU team.

* B. This role will require occasional late night and Weekend working in addition to On Call 24*7 cover.

* Familiarity with Agile & DevOps ways of working Familiarity with and experience of using UNIX

* Knowledge of CI toolsets Good client facing skills and problem solving aptitude

* Candidates should also hold an active SC Clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the process.
