Our client is recruiting on behalf of one of the world’s leading producers of defence systems and equipment. They are now looking for an IT Manager to join their dedicated team in Bristol.

You’ll join a technology-focused organisation that recognises and supports their employees to fulfil their potential. The company will enable you to take on new challenges, undertake further training and pursue your professional ambitions.

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for the management, installation, maintenance, availability and security of the company’s IT network.

Striving to maximise availability, you will provide IT infrastructure services, including desktop applications on a local, national and international level, as well as IT security and telecommunications.

As part of your role, you may occasionally be required to travel to sites within Europe.

Specifically, you will:

- Develop and implement new systems and processes centred on service delivery frameworks

- Manage key IT projects

- Assist the MD with IT hardware, software and maintenance procurement

- Recommend, develop, and administer information technology policies and procedures

- Help to develop and maintain a disaster recovery plan for all business information systems

- Research and recommend new technologies to the Executive Management Team

- Build strong working relationships across the business

To be considered, you will need:

- Extensive experience in an IT support environment with proven experience in a management or supervisory capacity

- A proven track record of implementing new systems and managing large scale infrastructure projects across several locations

Decisive and client-focused, as the IT Manager, you’ll have excellent communication skills and a highly collaborative approach. You will also be able to develop goals and plans, allocate resources accordingly and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
