I am looking for a DevOps Engineer to work as part of the Infrastructure team within a Global Fintech operations team. Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, the successful DevOps Engineer will be involved in the development and maintenance of a brand new CI/CD solution, supporting delivery team to autonomously build and deploy in-house developed and 3rd Party application and services.

The DevOps Engineer will also be involved in automating the provisioning and configuration of cloud and on premise virtual infrastructure.

You will also be responsible for educating other teams in the use of the CI/CD tooling and supporting their migration from legacy tools.

As a senior member of the team you will be instrumental in leading technical direction, engage directly with senior stakeholders and promote the tools and services provided by Engineering Services to the wider IT team through showcases and workshops.

DevOps Engineer - Continuous Integration - Key Responsibilities:

* Engineer complete CI/CD solution using a combination of open-source, commercial technologies and in-house developed tools as appropriate.

* Educate and support other delivery teams in the use of CI/CD tooling.

* Develop and maintain the automated provisioning of CI/CD components.

* Ensure all CI/CD systems are highly available, resilient and backed up.

* Work with monitoring teams to outline monitoring requirements for CI/CD systems and ensure effective support models.

* Liaise with stakeholders to understand their needs and continually improve the CI/CD product offering.

DevOps Engineer - Continuous Integration - Skills and Experience: DevOps, Cloud, AWS, Linux, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, CI, CD, Bash, Puppet, TeamCity, Chef, Python, Ruby, Bash

* The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or similar and has gained experience working in medium or large companies

* Excellent knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery principles and methodologies.

* Experienced in software development and build/release management in private and public cloud.

* Strong background in a Linux/Unix based environment

* Expert knowledge of CI Management tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity or similar)

* Good understanding of build tools (Maven, Ant, Gradle, Grunt, Packer)

* Strong knowledge of version control software (Git, Bitbucket)

* Commercial experience in modern Configuration Management systems (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform or similar)

* Good knowledge of public cloud services and technologies (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc)

* Understanding of containerization principles and frameworks (Docker or Kubernetes)

* Excellent scripting skills (Bash, Python, Ruby)

* Good knowledge of computer security and identity management

* Strong background working with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Excellent organizational skills
