ICT Knowledge Manager

Central London - DV Clearance - 6 to 12+ Months Contract

Role Profile

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented ICT Knowledge Manager to join a progressive team in Central London where you will have exposure to latest cutting edge technologies, systems and applications that you will not gain in any other industry.

You will be required to establish a professional Knowledge Management process which will effectively underpin Service Operations and Service Management functions. You will also be leading a small team that delivers the process to internal and external stakeholders.

The role will also be part of a larger initiative with the alignment of Knowledge Management processes across multiple external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

* The establishment of a professional Knowledge Management Process within Service Operations and Service Management Functions. This will include:

* Requirements capture and recommendations.

* Full documentation of process's and policy.

* Training of all staff required to carry out Knowledge Management tasks.

* Handover of responsibilities to a designated staff member before end of contract.

* Relevant Service Desk KPI's should be benchmarked before and after the introduction of the Knowledge Management process to quantify the benefits.

* Applicant should have experience as a Knowledge Manager in a Service Operations and Service Management environment working to the ITIL framework.

* KPI's for Service Desk should be base lined before work commences, and reviewed at agreed intervals.

* Maintaining documentation standards by reviewing and approving published articles.

Candidate Profile

You will be required to possess the following skills and can demonstrate working experience of these areas within your CV:

Essential

* Good IT experience.

* Good Technical Authoring or Knowledge Management or other related experience in a Service Desk/Service Operations environment.

* Experience in creating and documenting policies, process and procedures.

* Experience in the producing of MI and KPI reporting.

* Experience of managing a small team.

* ITSM lifecycle knowledge and experience.

Desirable

* Experience working with Service Management toolsets, HP Service Manager 9 desirable.

* Project Management qualifications.

* ITIL qualifications; Foundation and Service Operation Practitioner.

Location: Central London

Duration: 6 - 12 Months Contract with the option for further contract renewals

Daily Rate: Highly Competitive (dependent on level of experience)
