Contractor .Net Developer

My client is a FCA authorised and regulated brokerage firm that focuses primarily on the commodities sector. they are looking for an experienced .NET developer to join their small team to participate in the development of new business applications as part of a SCRUM project team. The succesful candidate will;

* Strive to keep abreast of the technology trends and acquire new skills when required

* Contribute to the on-going improvement of development processes and adopted best practices

Experience required

* A strong level of hands-on development in a distributed Microsoft environment.

* A strong dev experience in Web UI & APIs, SQL & ORMs, Build & Release Pipelines

* Experience in Desired State Configuration, Azure Templates

* Experience working in Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban)

* Knowledge of the full trade life-cycle is desirable as is an understanding of physical and financial commodities trading including delivery chain logistics

Technical requirements

The candidates will have solid experience of developing solutions utilising the following technologies:

* C# .NET 4.5+

* WCF, Web Api (OWIN)

* Azure: Service Fabric, Azure SQL DB

* Entity Framework, SQL (Oracle or SQL Server)

* GIT/TFS

The candidate should be comfortable with the following development techniques:

* TDD/BDD (MS Test, SpecFlow)

* Multithreading, Actor Model

* Eventual Consistency, Idempotency

* SQL Query Profiling

* SOLID principles

Ideally, the candidate should have knowledge in some of the following technologies:

* Application Insights

* Azure API Management

* Azure Dev/Test Labs

* AngularJs/jQuery

* Bootstrapp CSS

* WCF/WinForms

Person specification

* Hands-on approach, flexible and positive attitude

* Ability to understand business processes quickly

* Strong communication and inter-personal skills

* Ability to fully participate in multi-faceted team environment

* Attention to detail and strong focus on accuracy of information
