SAP B1 Reporting Analyst - SSRS/SQL (Contract)

My client is looking for an experienced SSRS Reporting & Data Analyst to utilize data from multiple internal and external solutions. Majority of the data will be coming from SAP Business One, an in-house Order Management Solution, FP&A Tool, SRM and e-Invoicing solutions and others. There are global users of the reporting solution, ranging from account teams to executive management.

The SSRS Reporting & Data Analyst is responsible for designing, leading the development, testing, documenting, troubleshooting, modifying and maintaining reports and dashboards using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services. This position is responsible for gathering, reviewing, understanding and interpreting the data. In addition, they will be responsible for documenting reporting requirements, project planning, management, execution, training and quality assurance. They will work collaboratively to define and develop custom reports and dashboards that deliver real-time information to support the business needs for data presentation and visualization. This role is supported by & will liaise with a dedicated developer in our 3rd Party Development Team.

Reporting Line

* This role will report to the Director of FP&A

The Role:

* SSRS Reporting

- Design and lead the development of high quality, high performing MS SSRS reports

- Lead the development and maintain complex reports that include sub-reports and drill down capabilities

- Validate, optimize, modify and troubleshoot existing reports

- Provide performance tuning on existing reports to enhance end user experience

- Identify any shortcomings or system errors and make recommendations for improvement

- Manage and maintain MS SSRS subscriptions

- Produce Ad-hoc reports when requested

* Finance Data Architecture

- Re-develop & implement the Finance data architecture

- Identify report data requirements and create comprehensive technical design specifications

- Gather, inspect, clean, transform and model data with the goal of discovering useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision-making

* Other Workstreams

- Operate as part of a team on a number of other projects like SAP B1 roll-out, SRM, e-Invoicing and FP&A Tool Implementation

- Proactively identify and assess risk on projects leading/involved in

- Provide accurate estimates for development time lines

- Produce and maintain detailed solution documentation

- Deliver testing, maintain test scenarios, training and user acceptance testing

The Candidate:

* A minimum of 4 years experience designing and leading the development of complex SQL reports, stored procedures and extensive knowledge in creation, support & managing of reports using SSRS

* Experience with SQL Management Studio tools, T-SQL programming and troubleshooting, query performance optimisation, indexes, views, stored procedures, functions

* Understanding of database schema design and concepts, understanding of Dimensional modelling

* Experience with finance/accounting/ERP software.

* Design, build and operation of ETL packages using Integration Services (SSIS) is desirable.

* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation and problem solving capabilities

* Finance or SAP Business One experience - advantage

* Ability to deal with interruptions and unrelated details while maintaining progress toward completing tasks

* Ability to work under pressure, independently, organize work efficiently and to prioritize workload demands

* Team player

Educational Background:

* Ideally, the candidate will have a good degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Mathematics / Physics related discipline (or equivalent)

Contract: 6-12 months
