Senior Web Developer, ASP.Net, MVC, C#, SQL Server

We have a great new opportunity for a skilled Software Developer to work with a market leading consumer goods company based in Southampton.

The company is looking to build a range of ecommerce B2C website to digitise the sales and marketing of a global product company. As one of the market leading brands in the sector this is set to be a big and exciting programme of work with a global reach.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience developing complex software and web applications using modern .Net stack technology. Ideally you will have experience of content management systems, specifically ecommerce CMS (EpiServer or alike), although this is not essential and the role is open to developers with sound commercial experience of ASP.Net, C#, MVC and a willingness to learn.

You will be the first in-house developer on this programme of work creating a great opportunity to make a real impact on the make-up of the team culture, process, methods, technology etc.

It also means you will need some really good commercial experience, the ability to lead on technical decisions and the aptitude to work autonomously. The company has great ambition to grow this ecommerce development team and support a global brand.

Summary of Role:

* Backend (.Net MVC) development of a new CMS Cloud platform

* Development of new functionality & features

* Integrations with core business systems through Web APIs

* DevOps support of existing development

* Manage and drive business requirements and offer advice through expertise in subject matter.

* Manage the deployment of services through development, pre-production and production platforms

Skills & Experience;

* 5+ years commercial experience of Software / Web Apps Development

* Expertise in ASP.Net (C#) MVC

* Solid understanding of SQL Server

* Experience with Web API Integrations

* Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and general web front end technology - beneficial

* Ecommerce CMS platforms - beneficial

* Cloud solutions (Azure) - beneficial

* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
