This digital marketing experts within the legal sector is looking for a talented and inquisitive Junior Web Developer to join their vibrant 30+ person team working out of their central Bristol office.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable skills in HTML, CSS and Javascript, coupled with a solid appreciation of design and a confidence to liaise directly with clients.

An understanding of Content Management Systems and dynamic templating languages are beneficial.

To give you a solid foundation across all aspects of web development, you will have a wide variety of duties, typically involving -

- implementing planned new functionality and features on existing client websites

- clarifying requirements and quoting accordingly on new work

- liaising with clients to recommend improvements and alterations that are in keeping with the brand and theme of the site

- debugging issues and applying appropriate fixes in a timely manner; this can, on occasion, be a matter of urgency

- answering technical support calls and responding to client queries in a clear and easy-to-understand way

- create and maintain regular HTML email newsletters for clients

Due to the volume and breadth of client sites, you will be exposed to a variety of coding styles and best practices as their build approach, proprietary CMS and front-end tooling have evolved. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in code!

You will have access to online resources and tutorial sites to supplement your training, as well as guidance and mentorship from senior team members. Regular team meetings, coffee outings and company drinks will provide a platform for you to socialise and integrate with the wider company team.

Applicants must have the following experience -

- HTML

- CSS

- Photoshop

- Good telephone manner

- Design awareness

- Creative Thinking

Experience of the following will help you settle into the role quicker, though not a necessity -

- Javascript (ES5 / ES6), jQuery

- Sass

- Gulp (or similar task runner)

- a CMS platform
