My Dublin-based industry leading client, are in need of a Data Analyst on a 12 month contract paying between EUR300-EUR400 a day dependent on experience. In this role you will manage data flows between business systems and the data warehouse, extend scope and coverage of the warehouse to service new projects as well as ad-hoc business needs.
Responsibilities -
* Analyse business requirements, identify data sources and document ETL rules for processing structured/unstructured data into the data warehouse.
* Document data flows and mappings between source and target systems.
* Establish and enforce data quality and governance procedures using established tools and methodologies.
* Work with Business Analyst, Data Architect and on shore/off shore developers to design, build and deliver end to end data solutions.
Required skills and experience -
* As the organisation are building a new Data warehouse any experience of working as the Data Analyst within a data warehouse, building the warehouse from scratch would be ideal.
* Someone with an inquisitive mind, that is passionate about data analysis and asks good questions to drill down on requirements.
* Have worked closely with end users and the business on adhoc requirements to add services into the data warehouse.
* Have experience of data mapping - This will be key in order to help the organisation progress data mapping and look at what needs to be done.
* Extensive experience in using data analysis/ETL tools and processes.
* Hands on experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, MS Access) and SQL.
* Full software life cycle development exposure within BI space.
* Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, ETL tools and processes, Data analysis and modelling tools and reporting and BI tools.
* Any experience with SDLC delivery tools such as JIRA would be highly advantageous.
* Exposure to Qlikview data discovery and or visualisation tools would be advantageous also.
