Java front-end web developer

My client, a well-known digital agency, are searching for a front-end java developer to join their team, situated on site at their offices in Brussels. You would join the team working for a banking client that they are closely working with. They are offering an initial 6 month contract with a possibility for extension should you be a good fit.

Role

* Development of various applications for their clients

* Responsibility in the development of J2EE and JavaScript application, offering advise and recommendations for technical solutions

* Contribute to the design and architecture of the solutions, integrating the architecture within the existing applications alongside the clients existing teams

* Act as third line support for applications, interacting with the Production Support Teams

* Travel to either Paris or London for client visits monthly

Requirements

* Masters or equivalent

* Minimum 6 years of experience in software engineering and development

* Extensive experience of Java development and web applications

* Fluency in English and French OR Dutch

* Good teamwork and communication skills as you will be working closely

* Knowledge of Java EE 7, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS3, SQL, Spring framework, Web / REST services, Typescript

* Previous experience in an agile environment

Bonus

* Knowledge of Angular 2 is a bonus

* Previous experience in the financial sector is preferable

* DURATION: 6 months with possibility of extension

* RATE: EUR450-EUR550

* START: Early October
