Role: Test Analyst

Type: Contract role

Location: City Of London

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Day Rate: £340 p/d maximum

Reports to: Test Manager

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

I am currently searching for a test analyst to join one of my established clients on a initial 6 month term.

This is an exciting time for a test analyst to join and be involved in the process for the delivery of the companies new technology as well as supporting the current systems.

The test analyst will be be responsible for testing new software and hardware following the detailed methodologies set by IT Applications for the organisation and there partners.

Key Responsibilities Include-:

Creating, executing and documenting test scripts against the numerous retail systems used by the organisation

Complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) using the department methodology

Read Release Notes supplied by suppliers and create relevant confirmation test scripts

Complete UAT scripts for each new software or hardware release, including full regression testing and confirmation testing

Complete additional testing to support current software and hardware, including replication testing and smoke testing

Complete exit documents against each tested release

Complete testing on numerous systems used by the organisation

Knowledge & Experience-:

Experience of creating, executing and documenting test scripts

Proven background in completing User Acceptance Testing

Experienced in software/hardware test methodologies

Microsoft Office

An understanding of test management is desirable but not essential

An understanding of using JIRA is desirable but not essential

Skills & Behaviours-:

A dedicated, self-motivated individual, with the ability to remain calm under pressure

Ability to work under own initiative with minimal supervision

A customer focused and collaborative approach to work

Have a structured and diligent approach to the production of test documentation

Solid Microsoft Word and Excel skills
