Position: Scrum Master
Location: London
Length: Initial 6 month's assignment
Pay: Market rates
Skills: Agile Transformation - Scrum and Kanban; Project Management; risk and issue management, planning and tracking, resource mgmt. Exposure to and experience of IT for Financial Markets would be a plus.
Clearance: Baseline Security clearance will be required, and will be obtained for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver transformation of product development to Agile - encompasses the realignment of people, process and technology.
* Provide management oversight and leadership of the development team.
* Oversee development, build, test and post Go Live phases of work.
* Identify obstacles and help the team to overcome them.
* Focus the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services.
* Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team.
* Coach and mentor both team members and others to apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques.
* Working alongside a Product Owner.
* Reporting to Product and Digital Delivery leader
Candidate Profile:
* Highly engaging, articulate and confident
* Has both - Agile, and Project Management (budgeting and forecasting, risk and issue management, planning and tracking, resource management) skills.
* Understanding of Financial markets trading systems.
* Comfortable with senior level interactions.
* Adept at bring together a single team.
* Presents themselves as a contemporary digital expert.
* A passionate agilest.
* Comfortable building transformation roadmaps, scorecards, developing and leading workshops and training, coaching others as well as more traditional report focused delivery.
* Experience of Waterfall delivery (as this will be a step in the transformational journey).
* Can demonstrate a focus on business and user value, who how to drive Technology organisations to measurable, impact driven decision making.
* Experience of leading on an agile transformation of the programme, interfacing with technology and the business to help build a contemporary lean, agile development practice.
* Deep level of understanding of agile development practices.
* Familiarity with contemporary good practice in digital product development including Scrum, Extreme Programing, Dev-Ops, lean start-up. Understanding of contemporary computing practices.
* Understanding of legacy IT systems, processes and governance, how to move away from these in a managed transition
* Able to describe, in detail a comprehensive and strategic approach to the digital transformation of a software product programme including people, process and technology.
* Experience implementing contemporary, light touch agile forms of programme/project management and governance that enable agile and dev-ops forms of working.
