A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Linux Administrator looking to take a step toward Team Management while still staying hands-on and working in a fantastic and supportive environment with some of the latest Linux and Open Source Infrastructure tech.

You will be working with Technical Systems Manager and Head of Technical Operations and Enterprise Architecture Team in order to deliver the defined strategy for Linux Systems within my clients business. Strong Linux Admin skills within an Enterprise-scale environment are a must and some aspect of Team Leading experience would be highly beneficial.

ESSENTIAL EXPEREINCE:

>Enterprise-scale Linux support, admin skills

>Experience of Microsoft Windows Servers 2008 and 2012, Virtualisation technologies, enterprise SAN technologies (preferably Hitachi) and other server and infrastructure technologies in a large enterprise environment, either holding appropriate qualifications or working toward them

>Have experience of providing quality / technical assurance within complex projects

>Experience of continuous integration and continuous delivery within an agile development team

>Experience of administering network security including configuring firewalls, Kerberos and LDAP

>Experience of administering a Hadoop cluster, ideally Cloudera

>Experience of administering containerised applications using Docker

>Experience with Kickstart

>Have experience of leadership and staff development in a technical/support team environment.

>Extensive technical experience of wide variety of server and storage technologies at an architecture, design and technical expert level

>Extensive knowledge of IT security best practice

>Extensive experience of Microsoft Windows Servers 2008 and 2012, Virtualisation technologies, enterprise SAN technologies (preferably Hitachi) and other server and infrastructure technologies in a large enterprise environment, either holding appropriate qualifications or working toward them
