Business Analyst - Network Products, Telecom, B2B, Agile

Sky Technology is at the core of Sky's Communications business and plays a major part in our current and anticipated future success. We're looking for a strong Business Analyst to join our Technology Division as a member of the Strategy, Delivery and Performance Team.

In this role, you'll support the realisation of key initiatives across Sky's Communications business by working closely with business and product owners, operational stakeholders and technology delivery teams. You will assess new opportunities or problems, formulate the most optimal analysis approach and define business requirements and appropriate recommendations to support the subsequent delivery of technology changes.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Business Analyst in the Strategy, Delivery & Performance Team you will drive the introduction and development of Sky's products and business capabilities by guiding and taking ownership of analysis on cross functional projects requiring coordination of multiple delivery areas.

* To take a holistic analysis approach in the assessment and development of Project initiatives, taking a Benefits driven approach to understanding and solving business problems or opportunities.

* To provide end to end management of business requirements from inception, analysis, design through to test and delivery.

* To manage changes to business requirements in a controlled way and to provide end to end assessments of impacts when changes are unavoidable.

* To work closely with project stakeholders to drive the delivery process, aid cross functional communication and ensure solutions are delivered that anticipate and satisfy the strategic and operational demands of the business.

* To manage the compliancy of requirements through the design, build and test phases and support developers and testers throughout the software development lifecycle.

* To undertake the modelling of business processes where relevant to communicate and support business change.

Your skills

The successful candidate will: -

Have a solid appreciation of how B2B Service providers operate including their key business and operational support systems.

* Have an understanding of different network products, services, suppliers and infrastructures.

* Have experience of delivering new products and solutions within the Telecommunications industry.

* Be helpful, conscientious and passionate with the ability to learn and adapt in a fast moving environment.

* Possess clear and confident communication and stakeholder management skills.

* Have the ability to solve problems in creative and pragmatic ways.

* Have a good appreciation of both waterfall and agile software development methods.

* Have experience of using business modelling tools, frameworks and notations e.g. ETOM, UML, Use Cases and BPMN.

* Have excellent documentation, organisation and coordination skills.

* Be a team player with great interpersonal skills.
