Our client, a fast paced Financial Services Organisation, are looking for a Data Security Analyst to support the Data Security Manager ensure that the organisation is fit and ready for the implementation of General Data Protection Regulations as well as assisting the business in all areas of legal and data compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Data Security Analyst

- Working with the Data Security Manager who will provide support on business decisions and help clarify legislative ambiguity.

- Support the Information Security Compliance process to ensure adherence to defined Standards and Policy.

- Support and maintain ISO27001 compliance

- Work with 3rd Party partners to assure compliance with internal and Industry Standards such as ISO27001 & PCI DSS in order to protect the organisations information

- Co-ordinate Information Security risk assessments for 3rd parties using the provided Information Security Risk Management process

- Investigate relationship owners, system owners, service provisions and unknown connections.

- Support other Information Security related tasks as required

- Carrying out Privacy Impact Assessments on new products and projects and completing Data Protection audits on a variety of business functions and key risk areas.

- Working with the Risk team to assist in the development of the organisation’s risk management and control systems.

Desired Skills & Experience of the Data Security Analyst

- Relevant industry experience undertaking security compliance activities or within IT projects and BAU

- Knowledge of maintaining ISO27001 standards

- Knowledge of the principles of Information Security in a commercial environment are desirable

- Understanding of risk analysis and risk management

- Excellent communication skills

- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CISMP are desirable

- Act as a SME on Data Security for the business
