Senior Support Analyst / Application Support

Circa £50,000 + benefits

Berkshire, Reading, Slough area

Senior Support Analyst required by an established software business to join its Application support team based in Berkshire. The Support Analyst will join an experienced team providing application support across a broad technical environment including; Linux and IBM technologies etc.

The company's software products are used globally, so experience of supporting large commercial applications across EMEA, APAC regions is highly desirable.

The Application Support Analyst will have a strong IT background in Linux, Windows environments, an excellent understanding of ITIL processes and experience with IBM products.

Essential experience:

* Extensive Application support experience

* Good Linux skills - Essential

* IBM product experience (IIB, DataPower, APIM, MQnetwork, etc) - Essential

* OOP experience; Java, C#, HMTL

* Ability to provide professional and responsive software support for large global applications

* Ability to improve internal processes through a good understanding of ITIL

* Excellent problem solving and communication skills

Knowledge or experience in the following areas would be advantageous;

* Experience of supporting the EMEA region

* Experience of supporting a broad technical environment

* ITIL certified
