Computer Futures are looking for an experienced IT Manager to join a market leading, and innovative engineering technology business in South Bristol.

You will provide general IT management, development and support to the site. Also working on continual development of the sites IT service complying with corporate and local IT policies and strategies covering the full lifecycle from feasibility to decommissioning.

Your role will range from hands-on day-to-day tasks through to supporting the development of the IT strategy with the site management team. As well as having overall responsibility for the development, performance, up-time and user satisfaction of the sites IT system in line with the site IT strategy.

How you day will look;

* Manage all IT related (onsite).

* Dealing with External Suppliers, Third Parties & Contractors (onsite).

* Implement, maintain and optimise the local server infrastructure, network infrastructure and cloud based services and solutions.

* Proactively managing software and hardware obsolescence, creating specifications and managing the implementation of new solutions ensuring business requirements are met.

* Maintain and manage network defences (that are not covered by Central IS) including firewall and antivirus systems to ensure security and integrity of data.

* Implement, maintain and validate an IT disaster recovery strategy.

* Maintain an effective system backup and recovery solution.

* To manage or actively resolve IT related crisis situations.

* Work towards ISO27001 Information Security best practises.

* Project manage the development of local IT systems utilising external IT contractors and central IM resources within expenditure and resource allocation constraints.

* To coordinate the priorities of the company's central help desk for critical and escalated tasks.

The following skills are required. However, the company will not expect you to have outstanding experience within each category, and will help to provide daily support in areas of;

* Understand the structure of and capabilities of a SharePoint deployment at an advanced level.

* Understand the architecture, implementation and a good working knowledge of SAP.

* Utilise hands-on and management styles.

* Quick to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company's business logic, processes and data flows.

* Understanding of ISO27001.
