Information Security Manager - ISO 27001

Stockport, Greater Manchester (with occasional travel to other company sites) 

£42,000 Plus Bonus (5% of salary)

Our client is a provider of integrated energy management solutions. As a world-leading company, they are currently expanding and as such, a superb opportunity has arisen for an Information Security Manager to join their team. 

Operating at the forefront of technology, our client needs to ensure that their information security processes are world-class. You will have the chance to play a key role in the ongoing success of the business and help shape our client’s operations. 

As the Information Security Manager, you will ensure that our client’s UK business complies with ISO 27001 standards and contribute to the further improvement of their EMEA and group security framework. 

In this standalone role, you will drive information security-focused aspects within business processes, implementing new security policies, procedures and internal auditing as required.  

Specifically, you will: 

- Manage the UK company’s ISMS and ISO 27001 certification

- Act as a subject matter expert on information security and GDPR related topics 

- Train and coach employees on information security matters, including completing inductions 

- Provide support with any security incidents until their closure 

- Enable our client to make informed decisions regarding information security 

- Develop a range of reports on incidents, audits and risks 

- Spend up to 20% of your time travelling to other company sites 

To be considered, you will need: 

- A CISM and/or CISA qualification 

- To be a certified ISO 27001 implementer 

- A diploma, ideally a degree, within an engineering, computer science, IT, information security, GRC and/or cyber security related discipline 

Analytical and detail-oriented, as the Information Security Manager, you’ll be able to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences. The ability to influence and gain buy-in from others is also key.
