This York based print company are looking for a Junior Artworker / Graphic Designer to join their vibrant, friendly and fast paced environment.

The successful candidate will thrive in a team environment to design and prepare print ready artwork. Demanding innovation, creativity and a consistent high level of design, predominately this role will focus on creating artwork for print but there is some opportunity to create internal web graphics and branding. Responsibilities will include; creating and preparing print ready artwork, proofing, alterations, chasing and following up, liaising with sales and production team, proof reading and customer service.

The diversity and depth of the successful candidate's involvement will depend on their drive and success within the role as the company are looking for someone to make the role their own.

Responsibilities will also include:

- Dealing with artwork / design queries

- Checking quality of artwork received from clients / agencies

- Designing artwork to a client's brief

- Creating graphics for both print and web

- Maintaining tight deadlines

- Communicating with clients professionally over phone / email and social media

- Following brand guidelines to create consistent artwork

- 40 hours p/week (Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm)

Required skills and attributes:

- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite would be ideal (specifically Illustrator and Photoshop) all though full training would be given.

- Knowledge of Office software (specifically Outlook, Excel and Word)

- Creative flair

- High attention to detail and level of accuracy

- Excellent communication skills with both clients and other members of the team

- Keen eye for spelling and grammar

- Thrives in a team environment but works confidently alone

- Skilled in organisation and multi-tasking

Beneficial skills and attributes but not essential:

- Graphic design or similar degree / diploma

- Print production knowledge / experience

- Proof reading experience

Applicants will only be considered within a 30 mile radius of YO61 postcode must be able to drive or willing to commute due to their country side location of Stillington, York. Free parking is available onsite.
