Senior AWS Architect - AWS Solutions Architect Certified - Professional / Public cloud / Technical Design / Implementation / DevOps / Amazon Web Services / ITIL / Workshops - Contract - 3-6 months - London (Flexible from home) - £600 p/d
Spring Technology is currently looking for a Senior AWS Architect to join one of their leading clients based in London. This will be for an initial 3 month contract with excellent scope to extend. You will be liaising with senior stakeholders, managing the AWS portfolio of services for the business, be a key technical design authority. You will be working on various clients' sites so this role will either be based from London or home with frequent travel to client sites. You will be dealing with senior stakeholders and other members of the development and operations departments.

Rate: £500-600 per day.
Responsibilities:
>Maintain a detailed understanding of the technical, service and commercial elements of the portfolio of AWS services, products and capabilities.
>Maintain a detailed understanding of IT and internet technologies and trends especially as they are relevant to the IT services/hosting market
>Maintain a basic understanding business goals and strategy and how your work activity contributes to their delivery
>Maintain a basic working understanding of non-AWS services, including those of any other Hyperscalers.
>Share and communicate competencies and capabilities externally and internally, including representing the business at various AWS summits and meetings.
>Deliver AWS awareness and technical training to people in the business to facilitate knowledge transfer and the handover of products produced by the Hyperscale Team.
>Working closely with the AWS Product Manager, help facilitate the transition of transition of AWS capability into operational use and provide internal consultancy and support during early adoption
>Working within the Hyperscale Team, design and construct AWS architecture, frameworks and processes utilising AWS best practice and standards to enable the business to provide a fully managed service on AWS
>Evaluate specific technical aspects of the solution, making recommendation of tools and approaches that should be adopted
>Develop documentation templates and assets which can be reused for future Professional Services and Managed Service engagements
>Undertake High-Level and Detailed Level Design activities as required
>Lead assessments at customer sites with key stakeholders, which includes as is/to be designed sessions and documentation to enable solution development
>Understand the customer's business priorities and direction and use this to design, document, implement and manage strategies around the Cloud and DevOps areas
>Analyse current customer implementations and understand where Cloud and DevOps can bring benefits to their business, assessing migration feasibility where appropriate
>Deliver output from Professional Service engagements, including customer presentations and documentation as appropriate.
>Assist the AWS Practice Lead to develop new capabilities and AWS competencies
