Are you passionate about digital design, creating visually stunning work and realising great user experiences that deliver real benefits for clients via websites and apps?

Working for an established web and digital agency with a solid reputation, you'll learn from other professionals and progress your career. As part of a small team you'll also be key in making decisions about the process and methodologies used on projects that make a real difference.

The Company

Since 2001, this company has become known as pioneering and award-winning web & ecommerce developers, designing and developing bespoke websites and web applications for organisations throughout the region and beyond.

Based in Gateshead, Newcastle with 3 core members of the team currently they are looking to grow in number to cope with client demand and drive their agency forward. They enjoy what they do, they don't work late and they don't expect work outside of hours.

The Position

Primarily a creative and visual design role, you'll have the chance to push the boundaries of the latest design trends often working on complex and challenging projects. You'll be able to learn from a huge array of challenges, web design, ecommerce, mobile, email marketing, information architecture and UX / UI as well as potentially some HTML/CSS build, to create work that they and their clients are proud of.

It's a varied and enjoyable role in a relaxed, close-knit team of designers and developers, and clients range from promising tech startups, to large enterprise organisations and public bodies. There'll be opportunities for some branding design and the occasional print brief, always with the aim of producing successful results for their clients.

What You'll Need To Win

- Strong understanding of design principles and good skills in software including Adobe Creative Cloud.

- Ability to produce engaging work that communicates key messages and brand values.

- Knowledge of the latest digital methodologies and design trends.

- Able to communicate your ideas effectively and confidently in written form and verbally, both internally and with clients.

- Plenty of experience ideally gained within a web or digital agency environment.

- Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 and the ability to build cross browser is desirable, but not essential.

- It's likely the successful applicant will hold a degree in a related discipline, though not essential for the right candidate.

Why Should You Apply?

- A key role in the team encompassing web and digital design, branding, app design and UX/UI projects.

- Variety in your daily life with a range of different sized clients in many sectors.

- Able to learn from experienced professionals to advance your career.

- Freedom to use the latest new tools and methodologies, and take an active role in deciding the best approaches to any given project.

- Work on meaningful, worthy projects that will have a significant impact on the client organisations, their users and the public.
