Job Title: EDI Customer Support Specialist (Graduate)

Location: Shepperton Marina, Middlesex

Salary: £24k - £30k per year on commencement. (Depending on experience)

Our client is a young but fast growing software development company that offers a wide range of business to business (B2B) software and professional services to their clients, increasingly in an outsourced or managed service environment.

They are now seeking one or two talented support specialists to join their company and grow their skills and responsibilities as the business grows. Initially you would join their Technical Support team as a Technical Support Consultant/Specialist.

Job Role

The roles will provide the employee with the opportunity to become involved in a number of areas such as direct customer support, being responsible for just one or two clients, helping clients grow their trading communities and assisting with the development of support systems for existing clients.

The role is based at our client's Head Office in Shepperton Marina, Middlesex travelling nationally or internationally when required. It would therefore be essential for you to be based in the UK and have a full UK driving license.

The Candidate

The work will be varied but may in time involve direct (face to face with clients) and indirect (telephone) support responsibilities, so good communication skills both written and verbal are essential. Some experience in an IT support environment would be useful, knowledge and experience of EDI systems is desired but not essential. Full participation in the growth and success of our company is encouraged and rewarded where possible.

The following are a list of skills and experience that would be of benefit to your application. Being able to tick everything on the list is not essential and not probable if you are a fairly recent graduate, but the more breadth of skills and knowledge you can demonstrate then the more likely you are to be of interest to us:

* Some good experience in an IT Support role in the UK is essential.

* A degree or equivalent in an IT related subject.

* Knowledge of EDI systems, software and processes would be advantageous.

* Experience of interaction with UK or European clients

* Some programming knowledge could also be beneficial - XML, XSL, C++, VB Script, Visual Basic, Java

* Languages - Ability to speak a European language other than English at a conversational level would again be beneficial but is not essential.

* Well Presented

* Articulate and enthusiastic. Easy to talk to and easily understood.

* Emphasis on quality, timely delivery of work or IT projects

* Well qualified to a degree or equivalent level.

* Keen to improve and excel in the role.
