C++ Software Engineer / Graduate C++ Developer required to join established technology company working on people counter and computer vision systems in cutting edge environment in Northampton. This role would suit a recent graduate in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Games Programming or similar who has learnt strong C++ coding skills and knowledge. Ideally you should have some commercial experience perhaps gained in a placement year or a first role of commercial experience.

You should be a strong programmer, skilled in C++ under Visual Studio, and ideally some experience of Python and Linux development. Working in an agile scrum environment you should have good communication skills and be keen to take on real world problems and a passion for software development and coding. If you have a portfolio or github account with examples of your projects this would be of particular interest to my client. Candidates with post graduate qualifications (MSc or PhD) will be considered if their research has included significant C++ coding.

                                                             Excellent Software Engineering skills, with experience including C++ and some of C#, Java or Python.

                                                             Linux development / exposure

                                                             A science/engineering degree (electronics-engineering, software-engineering, physics, maths) or the expectation of at least 2:1 that has included significant programming experience.

                                                             A desire to research and solve problems.

In addition, the following skills would be considered an asset:

                                                             Experience of SCRUM / Agile development

                                                             Working knowledge of Subversion/GIT

                                                             Visual Studio

                                                             Algorithm development / machine learning

                                                             Embedded Linux
