Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Devon

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Benefits: 25 days + bank holidays per annum, company sick pay scheme, free life assurance and pension contributions above the minimum statutory requirement.

I am looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a small but successful business that focus's on developing a variety of power supplies.

The successful applicant will be working as part of a dynamic and friendly team to design and develop the mechanical components.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

*Mechanical concept development for new products.

*Detail design of mechanical parts including sheet metalwork and plastic mouldings.

*Printed circuit board layout and modifications.

*Detail draughting of wound components.

*Support of existing products with Engineering investigations and modifications.

*Creation of parts lists, reports and spreadsheets as necessary.

Skills Qualifications and Experience:

*Have a minimum of BTEC Level 3 with experience in mechanical design including design for manufacture.

*Have a working knowledge of Autocad and Solidworks and preferably some knowledge of PADS PCB software, although training will be provided as necessary.

*Have excellent computer skills

*Be innovative and forward thinking

*Be able to work in a team and to take responsibility for their own work.
