Job purpose

Act as a primary interface between Projects and NRT Network Operations to efficiently deliver assets and services into operations in a controlled manner and to improve efficiency and safety through the implementation of modern digital telecommunications technology.

Key Accountabilities

* Act as the focal point for acceptance of new assets and services into the live telecom environment.

* Develop the operational requirements during project development including review and acceptance of key project products

* Work closely with relevant stakeholders to influence project plans so that allow for sufficient time to enable testing and acceptance of assets and services.

* Develop, promote and facilitate continuous improvements acceptance process with relevant stakeholders so that all new assets and services are successfully accepted.

* Liaise with the technical design teams to improve project delivery quality towards operational support systems prior to operational handover.

* Support the Release Management Process compliance to drive the acceptance and delivery of assets following GRIP Project Lifecycle.

* Engage operational work streams to allow technical specifications and related project plans to be reviewed to determine the impact on operational resource ability to support the assets, services and time lines as proposed

* Assist in the review the effective planning and co-ordination between project and operational activities to minimise disruption and avoidance of unnecessary or abortive works.

* Effectively facilitate the co-ordination between project activities including the handover arrangements.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

* Relevant Technical Degree or equivalent experience

* Project Management and/or Telecoms experience

* A sound knowledge of the relevant technical, safety and performance standards

* Holds valid UK driving licence, or eligible and willing to obtain

Desirable

* Railway telecoms knowledge

* A detailed understanding of railway projects (AMP)

* Experience of undertaking engineering assurance activities, including competence assessment

* Cramer and Remedy Knowledge

* Full Microsoft office suite knowledgeE
