SALARY: £121,023 to £142,380

LOCATION: London, Bristol, Birmingham or Manchester

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

In Data and Machine Learning Platform and the Gen AI COE we lead, design, build, and operate the bank's Machine Learning, Data Science and Analytics platforms.

Type of change to lead: Gen AI is a once in a generation technology shift. Enabling new business opportunities and new customer experienced previously unreachable with traditional machine learning. LBG is keen to grasp this opportunity, in a safe, value adding, ethical way. This role will lead the product development, delivery and integration of cross business unit enabling capabilities which leverage Gen AI/AI. The role holder will prioritise according to value and also ensuring we are ethically using these new products and services. These new capabilities will be consumed by business units to improve experience or business outcomes. The role holder will lead the development of several configurable products and work with partners, data science and technology colleagues to bring these capabilities into LBG.

 

What we're looking for from you:

Experience in previously leading and contributing to broader strategy and business decision-making by providing insight, control and thought leadership.

Background in Data/Machine Learning, ideally leading change in a large or complex organisation.

Influencing key senior customers to buy into their vision and approach to implement the vision

The ability to communicate clearly to collaborators and teams successfully to create effective alignment of purpose, actions and outcomes

Speaks publicly with confidence about the purpose of the products, the roadmap and implementation approach and importance of the work to the Group's overall strategy.

Tried and tested experience of complex and programmatic change delivery and consistently achieves results - previously been responsible for the end to end (E2E) delivery of significant and complex, customer-impacting change e.g. Machine Learning services & Products and strong dependency management across a complex landscape;

Experience in defining a product, and expressing the value of the team and product to the wider Group. Articulates user needs from MVP through to deployment at scale. Looks to external market trends, brings external best practices into the team and works collaboratively to build point of view such as Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, Service Design, other value streams and Innovation teams to build perspective.

Forms a narrative and drives delivery of how products and services can be made more efficient and effective and contribute to the Bank's overall Productivity and Profitability.

Has a curiosity to learn and improve personally, for the team and for their product's value in the organisation.[very similar to speaks publicly with confidence]

Empowers teams to iterate and refine methods, processes, products and technical patterns to create an accepting, empowering environment that makes employees, of all backgrounds, feel motivated.

Verified experience of financial planning and cost control - a track record of delivering within budget and using resources effectively

 

Can visualise how work is carried out as a system with team and create a backlog for improvement of the service to the Group as improvements to user experience and efficiency of delivery.
