SALARY: £68,202-75,780 per annum

HOURS: Full-time - 35 hours per week
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Halifax office. Please note, no other hubs can be considered at this present time.
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Within the Enterprise Risk Platform, we are working through a modernisation and simplification of our credit decisioning architecture. This multi-year programme will use the bank's latest technologies and huge volume of data to enable the Risk business to make the right credit decisions for customers. About our team
Our engineers are now working with the latest cloud infrastructure, software development methods and dev-ops tooling. Enterprise Risk are building a team of multi-skilled engineers, delivering real time services and data transformations in support of credit risk decisioning, model development and execution and data analytics.
The platform is moving to fully populated, agile development teams. Each of these multi-skilled teams will have clear objectives and accountabilities and understand their role in delivering the transformation of Risk Decisioning.
Our engineers also benefit from peer-to-peer learning and mentoring via our Communities of Practice, Engineering Guilds and Working Groups.
About the role
If successful, you will work with other permanent and partner Software Engineers and with our PO team and Risk customers, to design and deploy applications that provide best in class credit decisioning and which ultimately underpin the financial stability of Lloyds Banking Group. Bringing your technical expertise and insight and using a variety of Modern Engineering practices and tools to deliver products that are fit for purpose and meet the quality standards that our customers expect.
We are also keen that our engineers get a good understanding of the work our Risk colleagues undertake to better drive the evolution of our systems.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Strong application or data development background, ideally with experience of developing solutions in JAVA Springboot or ETL principles and practices
Knowledge of modern software development practices - ideally this would include Cloud hosting (GCP), Containers, Kubernetes; API's, DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery and Google Cloud Tools such as Big Query
Proven understanding of the full software development lifecycle
Experience of working as part of an agile team using agile practices and tooling such as Scrum, Kanban, Jira & Confluence
And any experience of these would be really useful:
We would welcome someone that can demonstrate in-progress learning journey towards cloud technology; accreditations (Google Cloud Associate Engineer, Professional Data Engineer, or Cloud Architect) or further continuous development in other cloud technologies.
Please don't be put off if you are not yet a cloud engineering SME. Enthusiasm and the ability to learn are important at this stage of our Cloud journey.
