Our world class resources support hundreds of thousands of teachers and learners across the world. We are embarking on a new era of digital solutions for learning, and now is an opportune time to join a dynamic and fast-growing team who are helping shape and deliver this roadmap.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Delivery Manager to help us achieve these ambitious plans across our expanding global technology platforms.
We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.
About the role
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with team members globally - in the UK, Australia, Manila, India, Africa, Europe, and the US. You'll develop strong working relationships with a wide group of colleagues and will be working as a valued part of a very supportive and innovative team where a positive, collaborative approach and a problem-solving attitude are appreciated and rewarded. We are a small but extremely effective team, and there is a real opportunity to contribute and to make a difference.
Lead the successful delivery of platform software projects, managing requirements, priorities, and dependencies to create efficient release schedules
Develop a deep understanding of the requirements, deliverables and complexities of the projects you're engaged on, and be able to communicate clearly and confidently about those projects to stakeholders at different levels
Partner with key stakeholders across the global Education business to support clear elicitation of requirements and effective prioritisation to deliver measurable value to the end user
You will have proven experience successfully delivering projects. This is a role within a technical team so experience with technical project delivery, or involvement in technical projects in general, is an advantage. You might have a background in software development or software testing, or a background in education or in publishing, with project management experience.
You will have confidence leading meetings with globally distributed teams, and in working with stakeholders at different levels. Part of this role involves taking an active Scrum Master role within a team, so the ability to support and coach a team in good Agile/Scrum practice is essential, and you'll have a strong understanding of the principles, values and benefits of Agile development processes.
Your experience in these areas will allow you to manage complicated technical projects successfully, working with stakeholders to deliver best value, anticipating issues and managing dependencies for effective deliveries. You will have a keen eye for detail and an ability to organise effectively. You will be an excellent communicator, able to give stakeholders visibility and confidence, able to negotiate where necessary, and ensuring the team have a clear sense of direction and purpose.
You will have a flexible approach to problem solving, able to see what needs to be done and innovate if necessary rather than being reliant on rigidly defined processes. You will enjoy responding to evolving challenges, and be proactive in looking for ways to improve team processes.
You will have a key focus on teamwork, and on shared responsibility. You will be a natural collaborator, playing a strongly supportive role within the team in the face of challenging deadlines and ambitious projects.
Rewards and benefits
We will support you to be at your best in work and to live well outside of it. In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a world-class, flexible rewards package, featuring family-friendly and planet-friendly benefits including:
Group personal pension scheme

We also offer flexible and hybrid working options from day one. We will consider any work arrangements if you wish to work flexibly or require adjustments due to a disability.
