An excellent opportunity awaits a Software Engineer with a strong grasp of Full-Stack Engineering to join a leading provider of satellite software platforms. This role offers significant growth potential and the dynamic environment of a startup, supported by industry-leading institutions

In this role, you'll lead full-stack maintenance and software development for a state-of-the-art platform. Your primary focus will be on Python and Cloud-based services like AWS, Kubernetes, and EKS. As the second Software Engineer on the team, you'll have the opportunity to build a team around you. Given the business-critical nature of this position and the need to collaborate with high-level stakeholders, strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential

The ideal candidate for this role is a Software Engineer with strong experience in Java, Cloud-based services (AWS, Kubernetes, and EKS), and proficiency in Windows and Linux systems. Previous exposure to Open-Source GIS Technology or Geoinformatics is a plus. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible for SC or DV-level security clearance. Additionally, candidates should reside within a reasonable distance to Reading.

*Willingness to learn or existing skills in Python.

*Strong project and stakeholder management skills.

*Full right to work in the UK.

*Eligibility for SC or DV clearance.
