A leading premium automotive business and leading to move towards electric autonomous vehicles. The Opportunity As an On-board Software Architect, you'll be part of the Maps and Routing squad in the On-Board Software Architecture Chapter. You will be responsible for the coordination of architecture, interfaces and requirements to deliver a suite of exceptional Jaguar Land Rover infotainment features. You'll be delivering the solution architecture for our Maps and Routing infotainment software, working with the architects from other squads and Tier 1 suppliers to define system architectures, author requirements, define interfaces, align dependencies between squads and to resolve architecture or development issues. You will support the team in case of critical technical delivery issues in your product group/domain. You'll have the opportunity to be involved in the development of the future of automotive and will be influential in the development of the Software platform and features for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles across the range. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Work closely with the squad's product owner and systems engineers to translate customer/business needs into system requirements and high-level designs.
Collaboration with other squads to ensure interfaces between components are well architected.
Conduct root cause analysis on defects, identify interim and permanent fixes. Engagement with Tier 1 suppliers Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Proficiency in requirements definition and analysis
Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance.
Comfortable with fundamental software design concepts.
Experience with the Android operating system.
A good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Experience with model-based systems engineering tools and techniques. Experience in solving complex technical issues using a structured approaches e.g. Six Sigma.
