This company is forever growing and is a real game-changer in the Publishing industry selling an exciting product with a strong customer-base.

They want a candidate showing real passion, with a background in Typescript, Javascript, Next.js and ideally Astro experience.

The role will be leading a small team of developers in building the future of the business, working closely with an Ecommerce Product Manager to create exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing a team, driving technology choices, and emphasizing a people-first approach.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Develop a more personalized product discovery experience. 2. Prioritize real-world user experience, including loading performance and site stability. 3. Scale technology to align with publishing plans and expansion. 4. Optimize development processes and build a top-tier development team. 5. Ensure system security, scalability, and peak event readiness. 6. Share knowledge and experiences in Engineering Weekly meetings.

Qualifications required include:

- Strong background in designing and building frontends for customer-facing companies. - Ability to balance speed and quality, communicating decisions effectively. - Experience in managing developers and supporting their growth. - Passion for programming and problem-solving. - Dedication to continuous improvement and quality code. - Empathy and teamwork skills.
