Business Systems Analyst -

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY'S OF THE JOB:

Who You Are * You are passionate about data and apply expertise in data programming, quantitative analysis and data visualization techniques to solve challenges * You are a team player and collaborator who drives data-driven decision making by consulting and helping the business ask the right questions * You can influence key stakeholders appropriately by balancing expertise and doing the right thing * You look at the big picture, see how product increments are interconnected and understand best practices in the industry * You have a strong communication skill to influence complex ideas in consumable ways * You are a self-starter with a creative energy and passion for complex problem solving * You enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment What You'll Do * Collaborate with Product teams, on/off shore development teams and end users to establish, meet and exceed Service Level Agreements for platform availability, issue resolution and upgrades * Monitor defects, usage logs and other performance KPIs, driving initiatives that strategically address all and ensure the platform is always performing optimally and end user impact from defects is kept to a minimum * Own the adoption and how users interact with the Semantic Layer, its ongoing health, scalability, and performance, ensuring continuous improvement efforts are strategically aligned and planned with focus on driving positive end user experiences and overall platform stability * Partner closely with Product Managers and BI Solutions lead to understand roadmap and backlog of analytic solutions and lead the sequencing and delivery of analytic solutions via onsite and offshore teams * Lead the construct of a communication and messaging plan that highlights defects, upgrades, migrations etc. so end users are kept informed of changes and situations that may impact their working day * Partner closely with Data Engineering leads to evolve the evolution of analytic solutions in tandem with the data lake evolution - with new data, data model extensions and exceptions * Partner with Lead, Business Intelligence Solutions to ensure offshore development SLA's are met and that available skillset flex's with incoming initiatives and roadmap delivery

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Experience: * 8+ years' MicroStrategy experience delivering self-service analytics, insights, KPIs and metrics in a BI or related role (Reporting, Analytics, Statistics, etc.) * 3+ years' experience in quantitative role in data, reporting, and analytical problem solving * 5+ years' experience writing complex SQL queries to drive analysis and insights * Production level experience working with MicroStrategy, Data Lakes, Data Bricks among other technologies * Strong client-facing written and oral communications skills * Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum * Self-driven individual with a bias for action and a passion for analytics * Adept at data prep, data modeling and data visualization Education: * An undergraduate degree in technology, information systems, data analytics or equivalent degree

Skills: * Cloud Environment: Microsoft Azure preferred, AWS/GCP accepted * Data Management: Azure Data Factory, DataBricks, Mulesoft, Synapse, Delta Lake, * BI & Visualization (Semantic Layer): MicroStrategy required * Programming/Scripting: Python, "R", Jupyter Notebook * Ability to use core analytical methods in developing solutions and design of experiments * Segmentation/clustering techniques * Predictive modelling * Machine Learning * Project Management
