Firmware Engineer now needed in central Bristol, by growing client developing state-of-the-art technology used in the hydraulics industry. I am seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer with a breadth of expertise covering Embedded C++ and also good hardware skills. The Firmware Engineer will work across a range of projects and products including pumps, valves, active suspension systems, compact integrated hydraulic power packs and advanced test rigs. The Firmware Engineer will need to be able to work on both hardware and software elements of the project. Applicants should have at least 2-10 yrs or more years industry experience with a good knowledge of embedded C++ and experience of design, analysis, and verification of electronic circuits, Schematic capture and PCB design and Test and product validation for PCBA. A wider electronics knowledge including the following would be useful BUT not essential:• Schematic capture and PCB design in Altium Designer. • PCB assembly and rework using hand solder tools. • Broad understanding of related engineering subjects. • Experience working to ISO26262, ISO61508 or DO-127B.The successful Firmware Engineer will be a key part of a growing electronics and firmware team within the company as part of a small team, they will take ownership of their work, be proactive in proposing and delivering appropriate solutions and demonstrate an ability to manage their workload effectively.
