On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a QA Analyst for a 6 month contract on a hybrid basis from our client's London office near Marylebone station.Purpose of the Role:The Cortex projects have a steady pipeline of work both in the FX and Rates product areas. Our client now needs to include a QA analyst in the team to augment the existing capability. The QA analyst will assist the London BA team on making requirements documentation digestible for testers, assist in documenting and executing test scripts for new features. Where necessary they will help prioritise the testing effort on a risk based approach for each release. They will also participate in manual test execution where automation is not possible.Responsibilities of the role:You would be working with a group providing applications to the Investment Bank Global Market Front Office for e-commerce of both EQD and fixed income products. It comprises approximately 200 people across London, Paris, New York and Mumbai. Amongst other things, this group is responsible for the development of the award-winning Cortex application and for electronic connectivity to customers and exchanges throughout the world.Your day to day responsibilities would include:Working with BAs to refine business specifications.Defining and producing test plans and participating in user acceptance testing.Carrying out functional, performance and regression tests.Liaising with Dev teams to ensure accurate functional coverage and to validate test scenarios.Ensuring all appropriate tests are of high quality and accuracy.Managing and escalating risks and issues. Assisting in defining automation testing procedures and automated tests packs.Coordinating component releases in different environments.What we require from the candidate:This is a hands-on role which requires a good understanding of Rates flow products especially on the electronic trading side, strong analytical skills and a high level of accuracy when defining business specifications and testing scenarios.The ideal candidate would:Have strong expertise in quality assurance of front office projects, especially within IT ecommerce.Strong interest in continuous improvement and all aspects of software development and delivery.Good understanding of test driven development and continuous integration practices.Working knowledge of standard QA tools like ALM (desirable).Financial product knowledge in any of Rates, Credit, FX Cash or FX Options products (desirable).Experience working with large real-time financial trading applications (desirable).Next stepsIf you are interested in applying for this position and meet the criteria outlined above, please click the link to apply and we will contact you with an update in due course.
