We have recently set up the GCOO Controls Office within Risk Services, which will improve control design and end-to-end view of the control environment across the GCOO division. Within the Controls Office, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Controls by Design Team. The team will provide a control by design and business process re-engineering service to ensure the GCOO control environment has the right control designed in the most effective and efficient way possible. LocationThe role requires you to be in one of these hub locations around 1 day a week: London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds, Halifax, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol. What would you be getting involved with?Setting the control strategy and plan for the Division including roles and responsibilities, initiatives and timeline by leveraging existing framework i.e., RCSA Handbook. The testing strategy considers the assurance and monitoring plans from 2LoD and 3LoD. ?Ensures alignment of the control strategy with the overall GCOO and business strategies.Tracks and reports progress against the overall controls strategy, planned GCOO control improvements and other team deliverables.?Monitors cost of control across GCOOMonitors and reports on overall control performance including progress of controls testing, RCSA, internal audits, external reviews and other assessments, and control indicators?Performs analysis and produces insights from control performance including thematic findings ?Provides an end-to-end view of the control landscapeDefines and delivers a Controls Office Communications Plan within GCOO?Interlocks with key stakeholders and provides relevant controls and testing communications across the Division About you...!You'll bring passion for our values of we trust each other; we put people first; we embrace our differences and we're boldGreat communicator, capable of delivering clear messages (verbal or written) to a variety of colleagues & collaborators.Love solving problems and challenge the status quo with innovative ideas and new ways of thinkingYou're a highly motivated self-starterHave the ability to build strong collaborative relationshipsStrong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with Managers and peers.Flexible approach, able to apply previous learning to new situations in different situations.You'll be constantly curious, always seeking out opportunities to use data and technology to your advantage And the skills/background you'd possess?Knowledge and experience of strategy development and monitoringHave good knowledge of control frameworks covering traditional and emerging technologies, cloud, cyber and changeExcellent communication skills with a track record of engagement with colleagues at all levels and stakeholder managementExcellent organisation, planning and problem-solving skillsExperience in designing data visualisation and producing committee reportingRisk management experience in financial services sector, fintech sector or technology sector with understanding of operating in a regulated environment Here's what you get in return...!In return for your expertise, you'll enjoy our dedication to your ongoing personal and professional development.
