An innovative leader in high-speed and energy efficient chip-chip link solutions, critical to the evolution of the electronics industry, is looking for a Digital IC Designer for their Team in Dortmund/Germany. Your responsibilities will include the following:
Definition of block-level specifications of high-speed digital circuits that meet key performance targets based on system-level requirementsAnalog/digital interface specification in close cooperation with analog/mixed- signal designers.RTL design and testing.Close interaction with verification and physical implementation engineers to verify circuit functionality and compliance with area, timing and power requirements.Support for post-silicon lab bring-up, debug, characterisation and productisation. You are best equipped for this role if you have the following qualifications and skills:
MSc in electronics/electrical engineering (equivalent or higher).Strong technical background in design of high-speed digital circuits in deep-submicron CMOS technologies (5+ years’ experience)Ideally experience with multi-Gigabit serial data transceivers.Translate system-level requirements into design.Experience with high-speed protocols (e.g. USB4, PCIe, DisplayPort)Strong RTL coding skills (SystemVerilog preferred).Knowledge of signal processing techniques is an advantage.Scripting (Python preferred) and tool setup skills.Good understanding of CDC issues and techniques.Understanding of verification methodologies, in particular UVM, is an advantage.Familiarity with high-speed serial protocols is highly desirable.Experience with analog/digital control interfaces is valuable.Exposure to Cadence tools is valuable. For more information and to apply, please contact Ane with your CV and a time for a call!
