Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Halifax, Bristol, Manchester - We're happy with home working the majority of the time, however you'll need to be in office 1 to 2 days per week.

Salary & Benefits: The base salary banding for this role is £66,744 to £74,160 in London and £57,078 to £63,420 outside of London plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Cloud Services is responsible for supporting the delivery and ongoing support for a diverse variety of Private Cloud Platforms which form art of the bank's strategy to modernise and digitise its footprint on our journey to help Britain recover.

The Private Cloud Team is accountable for the end-to-end provision and performance of various platforms as well as the consumable products contained within. We're looking for someone to join us in the Capacity and Optimisation team, focused on defining and implementing the strategy within Private Cloud, to ensure capacity can meet demand and proactively source opportunities to optimise our estates.

Specific activities which you'll be responsible for include things like;

Capacity Management - Working as part of a team reporting to the capacity and optimisation lead with responsibility for shaping, facilitating, and delivering a capacity plan across all of our platforms, including oversight of some key measures, obligations, and adherence to bank processes and policies.

Risk Management - Help to identify & manage risks within your area of responsibility in adherence to the group's policies and standards.

Delivery Assurance - Assist the lead in understanding Contractual obligations to track, challenge and improve measures as required.

Continuous Improvement - Mature, Modernise, Transform and Promote our offerings as a core element of the role, implementing 'Get to Green' plans to ensure our service is the highest quality.

What do we need to see from applicants

A desire to develop a solid understanding of our offerings in order to be an advocate.

Excellent communicator with the ability to think outside of the box to solve problems with strong influencing skills.

A good understanding of capacity management and platform optimisation.

A working understanding of ITIL based services.

Innovative approach, creating solutions to new problems.

A pro-active attitude, work will not always be lined up and given explicitly.

Desirable skills to have

Previous experience in capacity & performance management, ideally within a Private Cloud environment.

Familiarisation with capacity management tooling i.e. BMC Truesight.
