The General Medical Council (GMC) works to protect patient safety and improve medical education and practice Nationwide. We're currently looking for a talented and analytically minded Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to work within a developing team at our Defence & Availability Centre (DAC), our combined Security and Network Operations Centre (SOC/NOC). This post is brand new, and the main purpose of this exciting and vital role will be to lead the way and shape the future of Cyber Intelligence at the GMC. Expertly identifying and analysing potential and emerging threats, while paving the way for ongoing Cyber Intelligence excellence. Reporting to the DAC Manager, you'll work proactively across departments to gather and understand threat intelligence associated with our activities and assets, while protecting the integrity and availability of the GMC's information. Your work will enable our outstanding customer experience through your continuous research, analysis, and discussion about threats, and constantly working to stay ahead of the curve in the industry. You'll enhance our threat hunting capabilities and progress us through the maturity levels by working with internal and external partners. You'll shape policies and using the latest technologies play an integral role in securing GMC cyber future, for years to come.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of the Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK techniques, underpinned by knowledge of the latest forms of malware. You'll have an inquiring mindset and the ability to design and implement forward-thinking approaches for threat intelligence management and threat hunting activities. As well as technical experience in threat management. You'll have extensive knowledge of securing and defending hybrid infrastructure environments, consisting of on premises and on cloud; PaaS, SaaS, LaaS services. Relevant industry qualifications in GCTI, CPTIA and CRTIA are desirable.
