Key Responsibilities You'll work to architect, create and maintain front-end code to deliver UIs used by our
customers and ourselves on a daily basis. You'll collaborate on design and UX of the UIs with our product team. You will work as part of our team of engineers in Spain, UK and USA collaborating closely with those in the other locations. Don't expect to only work together with them but to be part of product, sales and client services discussions too. You will face difficult problems and will need to find new solutions for them. You'll help us give back to the open-source community by contributing to the tools we use, and releasing new ones, for the benefit of everybody! You'll build your skills and help the whole team grow together by participating in peer review and pair programming. Our teams are cross-functional so ideally you'll also know or be willing to learn enough about at least one of our key backend technologies (Scala/NodeJS) to be able to understand the work that your team's backend engineers are doing. With us, you'll have many opportunities to improve and learn " if you care about collaboration! What is in our tech stack? You will work with a variety of technologies including: TypeScript, React & Redux to develop UIs (like the Insights Explorer where the clients can explore their data). Modern, advanced CSS for styling. In addition, there is an opportunity to get involved in the other parts of our work (as much as you like!) where we use the following technologies: Scala to develop the backend code, including other REST services, fs2-streams data processes and Spark jobs. Some Spark for transforming multiple terabyte sets of data into valuable insights. A sprinkling of Go and Rust for any tools where a standalone binary makes sense. HDFS, Cassandra, PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch as the main data stores. AWS, Docker, Kubernetes... in the operational stack. We'd love it if you have experience in some of our tech stack (but don't be afraid of it " apply even if you don't, anybody can learn a new technology!)
