About the team:

Are you looking for a brand new senior leadership position that will support in developing the strategy for technology in a successful and growing organisation? Our newly created Modernisation department is a strategic partner to the business and supports key stakeholders (customers, colleagues, regulators and investors) to deliver our prioritised Change Portfolio. In this role, you truly will help to steer the business through the next stage of our journey!

What you will be doing:

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in leading the overall technology strategy for OSB Group. This includes building a modern cloud foundation and data platform that is robust, scalable, fully automated, secure, and can support the growth of the business.

You will also be responsible for building a savings journey and lending journey on top of the cloud foundation, using the latest technologies and current ways of working (agile, servant leadership). This role will play a key role in driving technology innovation and growth by understanding customer needs and translating them into actionable technology requirements

This is a fantastic opportunity to build a new Greenfield bank from scratch within a bank with the investment of a FTSE 250 business!

Your responsibilities will include...

Understand customer needs and translate them into actionable technology requirements

Support the CTO in leading the development and implementation of the company's technology strategy, in line with the overall business goals and objectives with a servant leadership mind-set

Work closely with the CTO and other senior leaders to develop and execute the company's technology vision and roadmap

Lead the development and implementation of a modern cloud foundation and data platform that is robust, scalable, fully automated, secure, and can support the growth of the business

Lead the development and implementation of a savings journey and lending journey on top of the cloud and foundation layer using the latest technologies and agile ways of working

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and customer service, to ensure successful delivery of products and features

Lead the development and launch of new technology products and features, including market research, customer validation, and testing

Stay current on new technologies and trends and evaluate their potential impact on the company's technology strategy

Could you be the one?

We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:

Significant experience in technology leadership roles, preferably in the financial services industry with digital transformation experience

Substantial experience of developing and implementing successful technology strategies and roadmaps in agile delivery

Experience leading and managing a team of mixed skilled technology professionals is essential, including managing geographically distributed teams, delivering against financial and resource constraints

Substantial experience with cloud-based technologies and services

Detailed knowledge of one or more project/programme management methodologies (such as PMI PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile and MSP (managing successful programs) and across a range of project types

Strong understanding of technology trends and innovations, and the ability to evaluate their potential impact on the business
