A leading premium automotive business and leading to move towards electric autonomous vehicles. THE OPPORTUNITYJoining us as a Functional Safety Engineer, you'll be working cross-functionally alongside System Engineers, Component Engineers, and external suppliers, ensuring everything that's produced aligns with functional safety processes and requirements. This will mean a ‘safe' product is always delivered, according to our vehicle development schedule.
WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of this role, you'll work with suppliers and hardware/software development teams to design ISO 26262 compliant systems. You will perform safety analysis, define safety goals, functional safety requirements, technical safety requirements, and hardware and software safety requirements. You'll work with safety and failure analysis, documenting analysis requirements and results. You will need to work in an open, transparent and collaborative manner, sharing good practice and seeking to continuously improve the quality of outputs.
You'll be:
Ensuring products align with functional safety processes and requirements
Working with suppliers and hardware/software developers to design ISO 26262 compliant systems Providing performance characterisation for all of our vehicles
Documenting analysis requirements and results WHAT YOU WILL NEED
You'll have experience of safety analysis, STPA, FMEA, FMEDA, and FTA. You will also have an understanding of safety metrics, SPFM, LFM and PMHF, understanding of silicon safety devices, processors, micro-controllers and HW safety mechanisms. Experience with Embedded Safety SW, Operating Systems, MISRA and Software Safety mechanisms is highly advantageous.
