Job title: Lead Solutions Architect 
Contract: Permanent, Full Time or Part Time 
Hours: 35 hours per week  
Location: Office based 20-40% at Trafford, Manchester or Stratford, London (with the option to work from Sidcup) 
Persona: Agile/ hybrid, Office based 20-40% dependant on business needs  Salary: £80-100k pa dependant on experience and location   Closing date for completed applications: 5th February 2023  Interviews will be held via Microsoft Teams on 10th February 2023 Early applications are encouraged as we reserve the right to close the advertisement and interview earlier than stated  We are currently recruiting for an experienced Solution Architect to join L&Q as we begin an ambitious change programme to; redesign our services, operationally integrate our subsidiary (Trafford Housing Trust) and transform our applications landscape.  We will be implementing new housing management and finance systems, supplemented with Microsoft D365 CRM, Microsoft Power Platform, online services built on Sitecore, and a new Data Platform (built on Microsoft Azure) to support data integration and analytics including AI / ML.   As Lead Solutions Architect, you'll build and lead a team of Solutions Architects that will help us shape this landscape, finding innovative solutions to the business challenges and playing an active role in the wider Architecture community as we shape our future design patterns and standards to support our new IT strategy.  We are keen to invest in your professional development, both technically and as a leader, and will support you to achieve relevant qualifications.  The job folder will be responsible for:  Providing Leadership, Line Management, Coaching and Support to a team of Solution Architects.  Preparing high level and detailed design solutions to address business requirements. Taking overall lead for cross platform solution designs.  Defining high level features, development phases, transition states and roadmaps for new solutions and system migrations.    Participating in Architecture Round Table discussions to identify high level solution option(s) for new business demand.   Ensuring all solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture principles and IT strategy.  Ensuring all solutions are reviewed and signed off by Architecture Review Board.  Supporting engineers to deliver designs, providing advice and guidance regarding the solution design and the engineering solutions, agreeing small variations to the overall design and obtaining ARB approval for material changes. Assuring the design integrity of the outputs to CAB.  Acting as Subject Matter Expert within the group for areas of expertise (e.g. D365, Sitecore, Integration using Microsoft Azure tooling etc).  Participating as part of the wider Architectural community. Helping to develop and maintain overall architecture standards, processes, and methodologies.   Sitting as a member of the Engineering Leadership Team.  Skills and Experience:  Specialist technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas:  Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Customer Engagement / Sales), Power Platform, M365, Sharepoint (especially for Document Management)  Experience of application architecture e.g. Microservices, Event Driven, Service-based, Progressive Web App, Pace Layered, Composable Application, MACH, Data Mesh  Cloud Platforms - Microsoft Azure, Containerisation  .Net, C#, Microsoft tool set,   Systems integration & interfaces using Azure Integration tools e.g. APIM, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure Function App, Event Grid, Event Hub, Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks.  Databases e.g. MS SQL, MySQL, Azure SQL, Cosmos dB, PostgreSQL, DataVerse, Oracle  Identity management / Authentication products   Significant experience working as a Solutions Architect, and familiar with standard industry methods tools and processes to support an architecture function   Significant experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies and roadmaps  Knowledge of application development architectures, tools, technology frameworks and security principles  Experience solutioning across COTS and in-house developed applications, and across Cloud solutions and hybrid Cloud / On-Prem architecture - with the aim to reduce complexity and improve value for money of solutions  Ability to work creatively and analytically to solve business problems   First class communication skills, with an ability to put complex concepts and arguments across clearly in briefings and presentations.   Strong engagement skills, able to interact in a clear, sensitive but persuasive manner - high level influencing skills.  Good understanding of agile principles and development methodologies   If you are interested in this role and have the experience required, then apply without delay!
