Are you a Project Manager with at least 2 years experience in managing technical projects or contracts, and would you like to join an established and growing consultancy that will provide the opportunity to grow and develop your skills and profile in a project management role?

This exciting company provides consultancy services for owners and operators of electricity networks, energy trade associations, generators, renewable energy companies and manufacturers in power engineering across the entire service lifecycle. Their aim is to be the leading provider of performance improvement and safety solutions for electricity networks in the UK. They have since grown to incorporate a variety of functions ranging from asset management to the provision of technical documentation. Their growth has been fuelled by a desire to innovate the companies they work with, and in turn the services they can offer.

In this role you will be responsible for managing a variety of consultancy projects across the UK, co-ordinating our consultancy team to help assess clients' needs in relation to managing their electricity networks and delivering solutions to optimise their business. You will act as the primary point of contact for these projects, liaising with senior internal and external teams to successfully deliver innovative solutions. The role would welcome someone who can take ownership of strategy, and in turn, look for ways to initiate wider business development. All work will require the candidate to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and accurate technical documentation, as well as preparing programmes, budget and progress reports.

The idea candidate will have at least 2 years experience managing technical projects or contracts. They will be working towards or will have already achieved professional membership/registration of a project management institution, and will be able to reinforce this with a recognised project management qualification. It would be desirable but not essential if this experience came from a power engineering or consultancy background.

The Role:

* Management of consultancy projects across the UK

* Co-ordinating the consultancy teams

* Delivering solutions for electricity network and renewable clients on time, to budget and to the required quality

* Being the principal point of contact with the client's senior management and technical teams

* Producing reports, budgets, programmes, presentations and overseeing the delivery of and technical documentation

* Initiating wider business development

The Person:

* At least 2 years experience managing technical projects or contracts

* Working towards / having achieved professional membership/registration of a project management institution (e.g. Association for Project Management)

* Project Management qualification or similar experience
