The Company:We have recently begun working with a particularly forward-thinking client in the energy industry who are looking for .NET developers to help grow their team. Their main product uses Machine Learning and algorithmic data monitoring to save energy in large buildings such as residential, industrial or public complexes or grocery stores. Traditionally, such buildings are not conducive to the maintenance of a steady internal temperature because of changes in the weather outside. Our client's product uses ML in combination with IoT sensors to adapt to upcoming changes in the weather and alter the heating accordingly, ahead of time. This enables building managers to save 10% on energy costs, and leads to more sustainable practice. They aim to have a positive impact on the environment while remaining at the forefront of technological innovation, so this is a fantastic opportunity for developers who are looking to make a real positive impact on the world. The team work in a flat organization, with quick communication pathways and a really collaborative atmosphere. Everyone who works at our client is super passionate about what they do.The Role:To be considered for this role you must have good experience working with C#/.NET and with databases such as SQL or PostgreSQL. Experience with cloud technology, particularly GCP, is beneficial to your application as the Google Cloud is widely used by our client alongside Azure DevOps. Experience with containerization in Docker or Kubernetes would also strengthen an application. As you'll be handling large datasets, experience handling huge amounts of data will also benefit you in this role. You'll be involved with the implementation of new features into our client's platform, as well as updating and implementing new APIs for the system. You'll help our client to improve their product's steering, or the amendments to temperature it makes, using both AI and ML. As these technologies are very new, you do not require prior experience with either AI or ML, however you must demonstrate an interest in this technology. To apply for this position, send your CV via this portal or email it to [email protected] Alternatively, you can reach out to Ed Clark on LinkedIn to learn more regarding this position or others which are available at Nigel Frank.
