Principal Analog IC Design Engineer - SerDes

A Principal Analog IC Design Engineer is required to take on a Technical Leadership position within the SerDes PHY team and work on SerDes design up to and exceeding 112 Gb/s in leading edge technology nodes i.e. 5nm FinFet CMOS.   You will be involved in the design and development of Analog/Mixed Signal circuit blocks from initial concept/specification through to final verification. You will be working closely with Physical Design Engineers to design circuit blocks and work with Technical Team Leads in the areas of circuit design and SerDes architectures. As a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer you will mentor Junior Design Engineers w hen the project need arises and will work alongside global teams. Industry degree qualified, you will have a minimum of 8 years CMOS design experience, preferably in the area of CMOS SERDES or high-speed I/O IC design. Design experience in some of the following SERDES circuit blocks is ideal: Driver, Receiver, Serializer, Deserialiser, Phase Interpolator, Low jitter PLL, High Speed Clock Distribution, Bias and Bandgap, Voltage Regulators. An understanding of jitter and signal equalisation techniques is of interest and experience of CAD tools for circuit simulation, layout and physical verification is required. You will have excellent problem-solving skills along with good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
