WHAT TO EXPECT

To lead the implementation of user experience, user interface and user testing of products through the development lifecycle. Using techniques such as prototyping, wire framing, storyboards, process flows and customer journey maps to deliver the best possible user experiences and to be the window into our products. To lead this discipline for the whole of the Digital function.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Line manage a team of UX/UI designers including personal and professional development.
Provide UX/ UI / UT chapter leadership as part of mentoring chapter members.
Create and evolve frameworks, practices and tools relevant for the UX/ UI Specialist chapter.
Lead and own technical UX/UI standards relevant to the Digital function.
Lead the development of technical assets and standards across the Digital domain and beyond.
Partner with all disciplines in Digital Engineering to develop/ improve the UX/ UI / UT capability.
Introduce and drive the concept of design thinking throughout the Digital function.
Influence and, in some cases, lead the creation and maintenance of style guides for content production including fonts, colours and images.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential
Ability to assess and communicate different design options in a UX/UI/UT context.
Technical expertise in relevant technologies for UX/ UI design. (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Photoshop etc.)
Proficient in prototyping tools and able to extract lessons learned.
Attention to detail and aesthetics.
Strong understanding of bringing the customer journey to life
