Java Software Engineer / Developer (Low Latency Java) *Hybrid WFH* to £140k+Global Investment Bank is seeking a skilled Java Software Engineer with Front Office trading systems experience. You will join a small, highly talented Agile team of software developers responsible for the banks' FX trading platform.The global platform is relatively new and operates out of London, New York and Hong Kong; there are several upcoming projects mainly on trade booking services and a major upgrade of the Front Office trading system.Your day to day:As a Java Software Engineer you will take ownership and work directly with Front Office users and analysts to understand the business; develop to specifications; assist in coordinated testing and aid in the deployment and post deployment support of the solution developed. As you develop strong, interactive working relationships you will be an important participant in the commercial success of the business.WFH Policy:Following a remote interview process you'll be able to work from home most of the time, meeting up with colleagues in the London office around once or twice a week.Requirements:You have strong core Java development skills including concurrency and multi-threadingYou have experience with low latency, high throughput, globally distributed financial trading systemsYou're an advocate of Agile development methodologies, TDDYou have excellent communication and collaboration skillsYou also have experience with messaging technologies such as JMS, MQ, Tibco, 29West; have a good knowledge of Linux and have an understanding of Oracle or Sybase RDBMSSalary & benefits:As a Java Software Engineer / Developer you can expect to earn a highly competitive salary (to £140k) plus significant bonus and benefits package including pension, healthcare, life assurance and much more.Apply now to discover more about this Java Software Engineer / Developer (Low Latency Java) opportunity.
