If the idea of making the most of your skills and experience working on a unique restoration project in an amazing high profile environment sounds like a challenge you'd relish, come and be part of our structure for success.

The Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal (R&R) Programme is set to be the UK's biggest and most complex ever renovation programme. Indeed, significant work is needed to protect and preserve this fascinating UNESCO World Heritage site and ensure it can continue to serve as the home of the UK Parliament in the 21st Century. Accordingly, we're looking for people with project and portfolio management expertise and a real desire to help shape our future - and improve our current capabilities - to take on this brand new role within our Data and Digital (D&D) Management Office. As PMO Manager, we'll look to you to provide invaluable support to the office's Senior Manager in all areas of its activities. As well as monitoring the D&D portfolio and controlling any changes, you'll be responsible for ensuring adherence to the D&D Delivery Framework and implementing the D&D assurance controls. Maintaining planning documentation, identifying and documenting risks and supporting business case development will be important aspects of the role too.  And, when it comes to supporting the annual business planning and quarterly prioritisation processes or providing portfolio metrics and business intelligence, again, we'll count on you to deliver. To succeed, you'll either be an accomplished Project Manager looking to come into PMO, or a dyed in the wool PMO who's used to managing a delivery team. Either way, you'll need project management qualifications such as Agile, Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification. You'll also need to be comfortable creating, managing and controlling a portfolio and, using your impeccable attention to detail, ensure nothing's missed. Experience of monitoring budgets and carrying out financial analysis is also required, while a background in the Public Sector or working on major programmes or projects would be really useful. Tenacious, highly analytical and with a passion for delivering high quality outputs, you have excellent planning and prioritising skills too. What's more, you're able to think proactively, show initiative and act where appropriate, have the confidence to propose and develop solutions to problems and remain calm under pressure. You're also used to working closely with a range of stakeholders at all levels of a business, while your IT skills include good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer 30 days annual leave, a generous pension, discretionary bonus scheme, life assurance and payment of professional membership. We are committed to promoting diversity and to equal opportunities in employment. We are building diverse teams and seek to attract and retain talented individuals from a range of backgrounds and cultures to join us on this hugely challenging and important project. Please apply by submitting a CV and cover letter stating your current salary and benefits, your suitability for the role and if you believe you have any current or potential conflicts of interest relating to this. Successful candidates will be required to complete security vetting to a CTC Security level obtained through the Parliamentary Security Department (PSD). Candidates are required to pass these checks before a start date can be confirmed. Applicants should also be aware that, depending on the role applied for, if they have resided outside of the UK for a total of more than two of the last five years, they may not be eligible for vetting.
