Lead DevOps Engineer / SecOps London to £140k

Lead DevOps Engineer / SecOps (Cloud Kafka Kubernetes) *Hybrid WFH*. Are you a DevOps technologist looking for an opportunity to take ownership, working with modern tools and technologies on complex and interesting systems?

You could be joining a scale-up technology company that are producing a suite of digital banking solutions; they have successfully launched one product and are now scaling up with secure funding and ambitious growth plans.

As the Lead DevOps Engineer you will be instrumental in company growth, enabling scalability and security of the core platform. You'll have ownership of the company's infrastructure, live products and services including CI/CD environments, Site Reliability and Security and will collaborate with business owners to provide insights and intelligence on KPIs. They're already using a host of modern technologies (e.g. AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, Helm); however, it'll be your job to decide on future tools and processes and, in time, build a team around you.

Following a remote interview you will be able to work from home most of the time, joining a small team in the London office 1-2 days a week.

Requirements:

You have experience in a similar DevOps / Infrastructure role within a small company environment that has experienced rapid growth

You have a good appreciation of how to make systems scalable and highly available

You have expertise with at least one cloud based platform, they're using AWS

You have experience with cyber security and compliance best practice

You have strong CI/CD experience

You have experience with a range of tools and technologies including scripting / automation and some of the following; Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Jaeger, Docker, JVM with Java 11, Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL

You're collaborative yet able to work fairly autonomously and take a lead role with technical decision making
